The BGF Mailing List serves a critical role in our support for Billy.
It provides a direct and instant contact with thousands of Billy's fans,
enabling us to relay important information regarding Billy and/or our
website. The members subscribed to our mailing list are part of a team
- a community action type of team.
With Billy's new CD set to be released in May, companies and websites
will offer a variety of content related to Billy and his CD. This includes
reviews, criticism (sometimes personal and offensive), polls - they will
solicit feedback, offer opinions, etcetera. The list goes on. It is important
that we stay informed. We need to be ready.
We will write to our mailing list with the following:
* An opportunity to post a positive review
* An opportunity to vote in a poll
* An opportunity to request a song or video
* Contact addresses for mass mailing
* New updates with Billy's CD
* Updates within our Events page
* News on Billy
* BGF project updates
* News relating to BGF
For example, if countrystars.com opened a poll and asked, "What
is the best release of 2006?" with Billy as a candidate, we send
a direct link to that poll requesting the support for Billy.
A second example: when amazon.com begins to accept reviews for Billy's
new CD, we will provide a direct link and login details to their website.
The same goes for other major websites accepting reviews. Write one glowing
review and it is easy to paste.
For a third example, if a critic were to hit below the belt, or if such-and-such
company refused to play Billy's single or music video while chastising
him, we will provide the appropriate contact address where Billy's fans
can express their discontent.
As of Saturday, December 9th, 2006, there are over 3,000 active e-mail
addresses in our database. When a couple of thousand people vote one way
in a poll - well, it works.
